Baby Showers and Community

I attended a baby shower for a couple who are new comers to Crosspointe. It was a great time of laughter, community, and hanging out. As the party was winding down, Daniel, the happy new father stood up and thanked everyone for coming and also for welcoming them into our church family.

It was then that it really hit me. This is what community us all about. Sharing the joys and pains if life. Baby showers shouldnt just be a women's thing. This should be a celebration with the whole faith community. Sharing times like these developes the atmosphere of community that we've been talking about.
